Dina Kenitra U21: a season of determination and triumph
The Dina Kenitra U21 team demonstrated strength and resilience throughout the 2023/2024 futsal season. Under the guidance of Coach Nourredine Nitelhadj, they started on a high note, finishing at the top of their group and showcasing solid teamwork and determination that earned them a place in the quarter-finals. Their journey continued with a tightly contested series against Ajax de Marrakech, ending in a 3-3 draw away and a decisive 4-2 victory at home in Kenitra, which propelled them to the semi-finals.
In the semi-finals, Dina Kenitra faced formidable opposition from RSB Berkane. A challenging first match at home ended in a 5-3 loss, leaving them needing a two-goal lead in the return leg to qualify for the finals. Despite the pressure, they fought valiantly, securing a 5-4 win away. Although this result was not enough to advance to the final, it solidified their third-place finish and underscored the team’s grit and perseverance.
Coach Nitelhadj’s influence was evident in the team’s ability to rise to the occasion in high-stakes matches. Although they narrowly missed the finals, their performance against top competitors like RSB Berkane and Ajax de Marrakech has set the stage for future success in Dina Kenitra’s U21 futsal program.
